Grunewald, 92, formerly of W3116 CTH FF, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, at the Plymouth Care Center. Milton was born July 4, 1914 in the Town of Herman to the late Martin Sr. and Eleanor (Barts) Grunewald. His birthday soon became a special day of family celebration. On January 16, 1937, he married Dorothy Specht at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. The couple recently celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary. Milton was a farmer most of his life. He was also employed by the Grand Hotel, Lakeland College, and the Sheboygan County Comprehensive Center. In addition to his wife Dorothy, Milton is survived by his five sons, Donald Grunewald of Plymouth, Dennis Grunewald of Ada, Lee (Joan) Grunewald of Sheboygan, Randy Grunewald of Howards Grove, Timothy Grunewald of Sheboygan, and his seven daughters, Margene (LeRoy) Fink of Franklin, Kathryn (Leo) Waldschmidt of Howards Grove, JoAnn (Robert) Lutzke of Elkhart Lake, Delores (Keith) Liebenstein of Plymouth, Jane Rentmeester (special friend Tom Laughrin) of Hilbert, Cindy Schmidt (special friend Peter Schalk) of Ada, and Bonnie (James) Fintelmann of Franklin. He is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and fifteen step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers Martin Jr. (Marilyn) Grunewald of Howards Grove, and Merlin (Mary) Grunewald of rural Cleveland, and a son-in-law Charles Berg. He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Eugene and Dale, his sons Jerome and Gary Grunewald, a daughter LaVerne Berg, two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, his brother Norman, a sister Viola Lemke, a daughter-in-law Jane Grunewald, and a son-in-law Jim Schmidt. Funeral Services for Milton will be held Friday, March 30, 2007, at 1:30 P.M. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ). The Reverend Darrel Bergelin, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, at the funeral home, from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow services at Trinity Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Irene, Nancy, Rose Marie, Terri, Greg, Jan, and the staff of the Plymouth Health Care Center for the care they provided for Milton. March 28, 2007
