    3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 15 Mar 2007 LANDER, Wyo. - Fay Bernadine (Harding) Gabel was born in Park City, Mont., on March 15, 1929. She was the eighth child of Charlotte Mohland and Godfred Harding. Fay passed away March 8, 2007. She graduated from high school at Park City in 1947. She attended Billings Business College to further her education. She married Richard W. Gabel after his tour in the Army in 1947. She had three children: Darrell, Terry and Janine. She belonged to the German Congregational Church in Billings. In 1964, she completed a 10-week course in Nurses Aid training and worked at St. Vincent Hospital. She also lived in Bozeman, Mont.; Britt, Minn.; Powell and Riverton for 24 years with her husband. Since 2000 she lived in Lander, next door to her son. Fay will always be remembered for her smiling eyes, the greenest green thumb ever, cooking that rivaled Betty Crocker, the ability to do many crafts and keeping a loving, organized home. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, Solly, Herman; her sisters, Charlotte, Martha, Lucille, Emily; her great-granddaughter Tavana and her husband Richard. She is survived by her son Darrell and spouse Robynn of Lander; her son, Terry Gabel of Chandler, Aariz.; her daughter, Janine DeLay and spouse Gene of Riverton; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rachel Dove of Billings. A memorial service will be held graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, in Billings.
