    3. Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 30 Aug 2007 WORLAND, Wyo. - Lydia Helen Keller, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Worland Healthcare & Rehab Center. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at Zion Lutheran Church with Dr. Ralph Partelow officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland. The casket will be open at the church Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to service time. Veile Mortuary is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Lydia was born Aug. 10, 1916, in Scottsbluff a daughter of Henry and Mollie (Temple) Feagler. She was raised on a farm and attended a rural school near Scottsbluff. She dropped out of high school in the ninth grade to work as a nanny and housekeeper. She met Harry Keller, fell in love, and married him March 7, 1937, in Scottsbluff. The couple then worked for farmers at Gering and Mitchell. In 1943 they started farming on their own at Gering. They moved to Torrington in 1947 to farm, and in 1953 to Lingle, Wyo. They returned to Scottsbluff for a short time, and in 1961 they moved to Veteran, Wyo. to farm in partnership with their son and son-in-law. In 1966 they moved to Worland to farm the Banjo Ranch southeast of town. After retiring in 1976, the couple moved into town. Lydia loved to crochet and knit, to work in her rose garden, and enjoyed making rye bread for her family and friends. She loved the time that she could spend with her grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Worland. Survivors include her daughter, Joann Bower of Worland; son, Jim (Dottie) Keller of Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Wayne (Anne) Bower of Kuna, Idaho, Michael Bower and Tami (Vince) Salzman of Worland, Colleen Ferguson and Jolene (Wes) Mayfield both of Windsor, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Josh Hunter, Kyle Ferguson, Wade and Shane Bower, Jace and Vicki Salzman, Spencer Bower, and Jake Mayfield; brothers, Henry Feagler, Lawrence Feagler, and Leroy Feagler all of Torrington, Wyo.; and sisters, Irene Hoffman and Ruth Feagler both of Scottsbluff. Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant granddaughter, her husband in 2004, and her son-in-law Larry Bower in 2006.
