Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 14 Aug 2007 Rita L. Kraus, 62 of Scottsbluff, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Regional West Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ken Boston officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Rita was born Oct. 16, 1944, in Scottsbluff to William and Martha Louise (Smith) Nelson. She received her education in Harrisburg graduating in 1962. She attended Hiram Scott Junior College. Rita married Ronald LeRoy Kraus Aug. 19, 1966, in Bayard. She currently was an insurance agent with Combined Insurance Co. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Byron and Sarah Kraus of Waco, Neb.; daughter, Terry Kraus of Terrytown; father and stepmother, William and Zula "Key" Nelson of Gering; and sister, Joyce Nelson of Gering. Her mother, sister, Joan and husband Ronald preceded her in death.
