    3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 31 Aug 2007 After a valiant battle with acute leukemia, Helen M. Reiter, age 78, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's in the presence of her loving family, on Aug. 28, 2007. Helen was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Billings the daughter of Adam and Mollie Walter. She was sixth of seven children. She graduated from Billings Senior High School in l947. Helen married George Wm. Reiter Nov. 27, 1949, and the couple farmed in Huntley and Laurel. They were blessed with four children, Vickie, Randy, George and Anita. She not only carried the burden of farm activities, but also worked as a teller at Yellowstone Bank in Laurel for many years. Helen loved the Lord and was actively involved in Ladies Aid, Bible class and Visiting Angels. She always had a kind word and deed for her fellow man. Helen cherished her garden and took pride in canning preserves and food for her family. Her noodles and meatballs were a family tradition. Helen adored her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Mollie Walter; and brother Herman. She is survived by daughter Vickie (Richard) Swander; sons Randy ( Sharon) Reiter, George Reiter; and daughter Anita (Rick) Harman; brothers Alvin, Harold (Ione), Ken (Barbara); sisters, Hannah (Henry) Robertus, Ruth (Gary) Armstrong; grandchildren Tad (Amanda) Swander, Brea (Johnathan) Honold, Tianna Swander, Shere,(Todd) Cooney, Carla (Eric) Ulschak, Bryan Reiter, Jason (Stephanie Nicolosi) Harman, Jennifer (Ryan) McLean, Steven Harman; great grandchildren Arianna Swander, Kaylee Swander, Madison and Molly Cooney, Connor and Ashton Ulschak, Ethan Roberts and Tavish McLean; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Cremation has taken place and interment of her cremains will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at 12:30 p.m., at the Laurel Cemetery, and a memorial service will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th, Billings. Memorials may be made in Helen's name to the Pilgrim Congregational Church or the St. Vincent's Foundation for the Oncology Department, 1106 N. 30th St., Billings, MT 59101.
