Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 16 May 2007 TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Charles H. "Chuck" Anderson, 89, died at Community Hospital Sunday May 13, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 19, at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Ora Dailey officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com Chuck was born May 7, 1918 in Eustis, Neb. the son of Clarence and Alma (Huckfeldt) Anderson. He moved with his family to Cambridge, Neb. and then to Veteran, Wyo. where he graduated high school. He farmed with his father until 1940 when he entered the Army Air Corps. He was discharged in 1945 and farmed for himself in Veteran until 1948 when he went to work for Service Pipeline where he worked until 1958. Chuck married Mary Gingles in Fairbury, Neb. Dec. 17, 1960. He then went to work for the Torrington Post Office and was there until he retired in 1980. He was a member of the Travis Snow Post #5 of the American Legion and the Paul A Johnston Post 2918 of the VFW. Survivors include his stepsons, John Gingles and his wife Cindy of Vienna, Va., James Gingles and his wife Ann of Stevens Point, Wis., and Joe Gingles and his wife Patricia of Story, Wyo.; brothers, C.J. "Junior" Anderson of Green Valley, Ariz., Bill Anderson of Torrington, Kenneth Anderson and his wife Carol of Modesto, Calif., and Edward Anderson and his wife Loretta of Sun City West, Ariz.; sister, Donna Bolger and her husband Harold of Casper, Wyo.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His parents, his wife, and four brothers preceded him in death.
