Billings Gazette Billings, MT 8 May 2007 LEWISTOWN - Glenn E. Vogl, 68, a Brooks area rancher, died suddenly Thursday afternoon, May 3, 2007, at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. He was born July 13, 1938, the son of George and Clara (Weinheimer) Vogl in Lewistown. He spent his younger years on the family farm in Glengarry and went to grade school there and then attended high school at Fergus High School in Lewistown, graduating in 1956. He then started at Montana State University at Bozeman, until he was drafted into the Army. After the required two years of active duty he returned to Montana State University, serving his two final years in the Army Reserve. While at MSU, he met Louise M. Snapp and they were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 1959, in Lewistown. They moved to a ranch north of Brooks, where they farmed and ranched until his death. He is survived by his wife Louise of Lewistown; children Jerry of Lewistown, Deborah Vogl of Denver, Suzanne DeMers of Brandon, Vt., Kathryn Dey of Decatur, Texas, Judith Trutna of Yuba City, Calif., Linda Revenaugh of Belgrade and Mariann Amundson of Bozeman; his mother, Clara Vogl of Lewistown; brothers Jim of Lewistown, Gene of Lewistown; sisters Carol Gamell of Great Falls and Lois Desimone of Litchfield, N.H.; 18 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father George. Funeral liturgy for Glenn E. Vogl will be Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m., in St. Leo's Catholic Church, with committal to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services will be Wednesday, May 9, at 6 p.m., in St. Leo's Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Cloyd Chapel. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends are asked to make memorial to the Glenn E. Vogl Memorial Scholarship Fund for FFA students studying agriculture or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
