Phillip's wife was Peggy Lee Klosterman d.o. Walter H and Eleaner L. ZAHN Klosterman per church records. Phillip J. Sprengel, 57, of 1512 S. 12th Street, died Monday morning, April 30, 2007 at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home where he had been the past three weeks. Born January 21, 1950 in Sheboygan, Phil was the son of Carol Barthel Sprengel and the late John "Jack" Sprengel. He attended area grade schools and graduated from North High School. Phillip then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. Phil was the owner and operator of Sprengel's Sole and Heel for 25 years. He previously worked for the Jung Shoe Company. He enjoyed golfing, trap shooting, and playing cribbage. He is survived by his daughter, Tara and Mark Wagner, Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Tia, Alex, and Brett Wagner, Sheboygan Falls; his mother, Carol Sprengel, Sheboygan Falls; his brother, Richard Sprengel and his special friend, Jeanine Mannchen, Sheboygan; sisters, Linda and Stanley Andre, and Marti Trost, both of Sheboygan Falls, Patti and Tim Kopf, Sheboygan, and Christine and Terry Barchacky, Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. Private family services will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
