Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 30 May 2007 Harry Burbach, 90, of Scottsbluff, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 1, at the Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Paul Hebbert officiating. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment to be held at a later time at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. Memorials in his name may be made to the Farm & Ranch Museum, Prairie Haven Hospice or to the Diabetes Association. Friends who wish may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday following the funeral service. His obituary may be viewed online at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com where condolences may be left for the family. Harry was born June 28, 1916 in Lincoln, Neb. to Henry and Mary (Hessler) Burbach. At the age of eleven months, he moved with his family to the Scottsbluff area where he grew up and received his education. He married Ella Grasmick Dec. 15, 1937, in Scottsbluff. He and his wife farmed northeast of Scottsbluff until 1956. He then worked a number of years as a tank wagon driver for Kuxhaus Oil Company before moving to Montana in 1975 to farm with his son Roger. They returned to Scottsbluff in 1979 where he helped on various farms in the area until his retirement. Harry loved to build and collect model tractors, but the true joy in his life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was a member of the Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff Survivors include his sons, Ralph and his wife Jeannetta Burbach of Gering and Russell and his wife Joanie Burbach of Holdrege, Neb.; daughter-in-law, Karlene Burbach of Glendive, Mont.; grandchildren, Terry and his wife Bonnie Burbach of Fallon, Mont., Gregory and his wife Naomi Burbach of Glendive, Randy and his wife Vicki Burbach of Minatare, Sheri and her husband Brandon Grover of Gering and Mike and his wife Jill Burbach of Centennial, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Joy Burbach, Taylor Burbach, Amanda and her husband Bobby Hopper, Jordan Burbach, Ella Burbach, Ryan Burbach and Jacob Grover and a great-great grandson, Mason Hopper. His parents, his wife Ella, son Roger, three brothers and three sisters preceded Harry in death.
