She was born on January 1, 1921 in Kersey, Colorado to Henry and Katherine (Lesser) Stroh. Her family farmed in the Kersey-Gill areas where she attended the Valley View School. Elvina married George Flot on November 22, 1938 in Greeley. The couple farmed in the Gill area until moving to LaSalle in 1952. She worked at U.N.C. retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church. She loved sewing, crocheting and gardening. Survivors include her husband, George Flot of LaSalle; 2 daughters and their husbands, Shirley & Bill Dundas of Loveland, Colorado and Terri & George Kauffman of Castle Rock, Colorado; 2 sons and their wives, Eugene & Delores Flot of LaSalle and Gary & Cathy Flot of Greeley; 8 grandchildren, Lori Kochel, Scott Kendrick, Shelly Flot, Troy Flot, Brent Flot, Lynn Buxman, Justin Kauffman and Kim Edstrom; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gerri Weber and Diana Kutcher both of Greeley and a brother, Raymond Stroh of Greeley. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Eugene Flot; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service to celebrate Elvina's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
