*Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 05-28-2007 Lydia Kraft* Nov. 24, 1910 - May 25, 2007 Age: 96 Residence: Greeley Tribute: Lydia S. Kraft was born in *Oberdorf, Russia *to George and Anna Elizabeth (Weitzel) Schneider. She came to the United State in October 1913 and lived in Greeley her entire life. On Jan. 19, 1936, she married George R. Kraft in Greeley. He died on Feb. 14, 1992. Mr. Kraft worked in the laundry department at the Weld County General Hospital and she and her husband owned and operated the Dairy Creme on 7th Avenue and 14th Street for 29 years, retiring in 1969. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. She also was a member of the AMICA Club in Greeley and had lived at the Greeley Place for 15 1/2 years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and she loved activities with her family. Mrs. Kraft died Friday, May 25, at Centennial Health Center in Greeley. Survivors: A daughter, Joann Weinmeister of Greeley; two grandsons, Lauren and his wife Krista Weinmeister of Johnstown, and Mark Weinmeister of Houston, Texas; two granddaughters, Karen and her husband Mark Sitzman of Greeley, and Vivian and her husband Brian Foss of Eaton; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren. Preceded in death by: Her husband; her parents; four brothers; five sisters; and a son-in-law, Raymond Weinmeister, in 1993. Funeral service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel. Interment: Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley.
