Hi Charles & Vera I have to agree with both of you. But would like to add my thought trough own experience. I was one of the million immigrants from Russia in Germany. Since 2000 I live in Canada. Although I went to school in Germany from 1988 grade 3-10 and plus 3 years of apprenticeship after school yet. As far as I remember we never learned anything about Germans moving to Russia between 1767 - 1860 and never anything about German colonies in Russia. I was interested a bit in history at that time and was told of our the background from my Grandparents, that Germans moved to different parts in Russia etc...long time ago. My Ancestors came mostly from Yagodnaya Polyana and Paulskaya. Many local inhabitants in Germany wouldn't really know anything about this history. Even today my cousin living in Germany says that many local "Germans" don't know the real background of the German-Russian immigrants. And Vera, you are right as well. There is lots of crime going on between those immigrants, Turkish immigrants and local German people.
