Hi, Paul and all, My husband used to work at March Air Force Base (formerly March Air Field) in Moreno Valley, CA. He says there was a prisoner of war camp there during WWII. It held mostly Italian prisoners, but some German prisoners also. He says he remembers seeing some pictures at the March Air Base Museum. He also says there was a dilapidated building left and there had been some talk of an archealogical dig. If someone lives close to Riverside/Moreno Valley, maybe they could check on this for us.
