    3. Casper Star Tribune Casper, WY Gilbert E. Weidner Tuesday, July 31, 2007 MITCHELL, Neb. --Funeral services for Gilbert E. Weidner, 76, will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Federated Church in Mitchell with Dr. Charles Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. He died July 28, 2007 south of Morrill, Neb. He was born March 24, 1931 in Beulah, N.D., to Jacob and Linda (Weidner) Weidner. He grew up and worked on the family farm in North Dakota. He was a hardworking, loving man. He was respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Federated Church, as well as the Moose Lodge; American Legion and the V.F.W. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of Mitchell; sons, Gill Weidner of Green River and Jack Noel of Casper; daughters, Betty (Weidner) Ortloff of Williston, N.D.; Mary (Weidner) Coley of Casper, Shirley (Weidner) Fletcher of Raton N.M.; Dawnita Schaub of Wheatland and Tammy Reed of Casper; brothers, Hilmer Weidner of Washington; Erhardt Weidner of Kalispell, Mont., and Eldor Weidner of Hazen, N.D.; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Anna Kahl, one sister, two grandsons and a great-grandson. Memorials may be directed in care of the family. Jones Mortuary of Mitchell is assisting the family with arrangements.
