Just thought you all ought to know that there are many websites on this subject on the internet. I just checked and and found 10 pages of listings. Now maybe one of you readers here can make sure our stories of the GRs that befriended the prisoners etc. can find a way to have a compilation of the GR stories available on the internet. I will look forward to a compilation of this in the AHSGR Journal or wherever it goes. Some years ago I was in correspondence by e-mail to someone who was working on compiling all the locations of the German POW camps in the USA and was trying to set up some sort of archive with names as well so that this could be accessed by the computer. This person even had some special exhibits set for use at various "fairs" around the U.S. Has anyone seen such?? For some reason I can not locate in my many files this source since having moved to a retirement home this past year. This subject does make a very interesting story and should be out there for others to know about. Especially how our own people, the GRs, were helpful to these prisoners. Thank you all for sharing at this time. Virginia Less ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
