Brunmeier, Hazel Ruth, Aug. 6, 1924-June 17, 2014 The Tribune Greeley, Colorado 21 Jul 2014 Age: 89 Residence: Greeley Hazel Brunmeier, 89, of Greeley, passed away on June 17, 2014. She was born on Aug. 6, 1924, in Boone, Colo., to Henry and Mayme (Nelson) Asbury. She married Orville John Brunmeier on May 15, 1945, in Kimball, Neb. They celebrated 67 years of marriage until his passing on Aug. 26, 2012. Hazel worked part time at Greeley-Evans School District 6 as a cook for over 20 years. She was also a homemaker who loved to sew, square dance, make jewelry, decorate cakes, play cards and other table games. She also had a love of baking and entered many baking contests. She is survived by her sister, Donna Stolen of Minnesota; daughters, Diana Brunmeier, Karen Bradshaw and Debra Brunmeier, all of Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren, Nikki Takacs, Matthew Bradshaw, Lori Bradshaw and Lacey Brunmeier; six great-grandchildren, Tara, Ethan, Gavin, and Liam Takacs, Sophia and Zoe Bradshaw. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl, Frank and Henry; and sisters, Mayme and Annamae. She is loved and will be missed. Inurnment is at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Gardens followed by a Reception and Celebration to be held in Hazel’s honor at 11 a.m. at the Allnutt Macy Chapel Reception Center.
