Lind, James 'Jim' , December 14, 1935- July 23, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebraska 26 Jul 2014 Memorial services for JAMES LIND, 78, will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Glatze officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Jim died on July 23, 2014 at his home in Torrington. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be directed to the family for a charity to be determined at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends are invited to send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com Jim was born on December 14, 1935 in Morrill, Nebraska the son of Wilhelm and Effie (Lind) Lind. The family moved to Torrington, Wyoming and Jim received his education; graduating from Torrington High School in 1954. Jim married Enid Kunesh on September 1, 1954 in Torrington and the couple moved to the Lyman area where they farmed with Jims brothers, Don, Ray and Reuben. Jim and Enid then later moved to the Huntley area where they continued to farm until retirement. Following retirement, Jim worked at Jirdon Agri-Chemical for several years. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ at Lyman and he enjoyed collecting model John Deere tractors. He is survived by his two daughters, Suzanne Lind of Torrington; and Kari (Jeff) McClun of Veteran, Wyoming; his son, James Randall Lind of LaGrange Wyoming; two brothers, Riney Lind of Rapid City, South Dakota and Wayne (Jan) Lind of Maricopa, Arizona; a sister Helen VanWyngarden of Arvada, Colorado; six grandchildren, Christopher (Cari) Lind, Matthew Lind, Tyler Lind, Kody (Tyler) McClun, Kiffany and Kassidy McClun; and five great grandchildren, Shelby, Caleb, Mason, McKayla and Kaidynce. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Enid; two sisters, Katherine and Esther; and eight brothers, Bill, Alec, Reuben, Ed, Ray, Don, Bob, and Albert.
