    3. Bauer, Donald, July 10, 1032- July 28, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebraska 31 Jul 2014 A memorial service for DONALD J. BAUER, 82, will be held at 10:00am Friday, August 1, 2014 at Emmanuel Congregational Church with Pastor Todd Seay officiating. Donald J. Bauer went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, July 28, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Western Nebraska Veterans Home where he resided at 1102 West 42nd Street Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Jolliffe Funeral Home and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Don was born July 10, 1032 in Mitchell Valley, NE to John and Emilia Bauer. He served our country in the US Marine Corps in his early years, married his beautiful wife Elnora Richard on March 22, 1953. He owned his own mechanic business and made a great living for his wife and four daughters. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Don and Elnora enjoyed 53 wonderful years together with their children. Don was also a life-long member of Emmanuel Congregational Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, having coffee with his friends and watching the Colorado Rockies. Survivors include Daughters Christi Thomas (Brett) of Seattle, WA, Suzanne Wlezen (Jack) of Lakewood, CO, Donnell Chapman of Scottsbluff, and Jonette Bauer (Bob Noecker) also of Scottsbluff, grandchildren Gina Wlezen (Gerald Tafoya), April Strauch (Derek), Molly Chapman (Dave Barker), and John Thomas, sister Helen Keller, brothers Robert Bauer and Richard Bauer. Don was preceded in death by his wife Elnora, his parents John and Emilia, sisters Elaine Harshman, Leona Morgan, and Mariam Durfy, brothers Wilbert Bauer and Raymond Bauer, and Son in law Edward Chapman.
