Keller, Jerry Allen, Jan. 3, 1950- Jan. 2, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebraska 5 Jan 2014 BAYARD — Jerry Allen Keller, 63, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at Regional West Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Community Bible Church in Bayard with Pastor Brad Kihlthau officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance. Memorials may be given to the family for funeral expenses c/o Kacey Kreman, 102 East 12th St., Bayard, NE. 69334. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.bbchapels.com. Bayard Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Jerry was born on Jan. 3, 1950 in Scottsbluff, to Fred and Elsie (Cannon) Keller. He graduated from Gering High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1968 and was stationed on the USS Comstock. He was honorably discharged in 1970. Jerry enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his brother, kids, grandkids and friends. He enjoyed camping and being outside. If you would see him out and about, he would talk your ear off. He enjoyed watching and playing with all of his grandchildren. Jerry enjoyed watching his boys and niece in wrestling and always made the trip fun and full of memories. He also loved rattle snake shows with Bob and Jack. Survivors include his children, Jerry Jr. (Beth) Keller and Tracey (Jim) Wodniak both of Pennsylvania and Chris (Brandi) Keller of Nebraska; stepsons, Keith Miller and Brian (Katherine) Miller both of Nebraska; grandchildren, Tyler, Anna, Kearsten, Justin, Bowersox, James Jr., Destiny, Melisa, Jasmine, Neveah, Aiden, Cheyenne, Torianna, Kristyn, Nakota, and Raven; great-grandchild, Omarion; brothers and sisters, Shirley (Fred) Imes of Colorado, Jack (Karen) Keller of Nebraska, Karen (Steve) Ballinger of Nebraska, and Gary (Deb) Keller of Nebraska and sister-in-law, Marilyn Keller of Nebraska and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Keller and niece JoAnn Keller.
