Dill, Harold, Aug. 4, 1928-Nov. 8, 2014 The Tribune Greeley, Colorado 13 Nov 2014 Age: 86 Residence: Greeley Harold Dill, 86 of Greeley, passed away at his home on Nov. 8, 2014. He was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Gilcrest, Colo., to Jacob and Elizabeth Dill. He married Dorothy A. Abbett on Jan. 8, 1950, in Raton, N. M. She died Oct. 16, 2010. Harold attended school in Platteville, graduating from Platteville High School in 1948. He worked for Public Service, retiring after 30 years. He was the owner/operator of Poudre Valley Honey, known as the Honey Man to many. Beekeeping was a hobby for Harold for over 50 years. Harold also enjoyed being a 4-H leader and fishing. He is survived by his sons, James B. Dill and Jerry G (Lynne) Dill; daughter, Roxanne E. Dill; brother, Edward (Ruth) Dill; and sister, Betty (Bill) Silliman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jacob and John Dill; and his sisters, Molly Horst and Barbara Swetzig. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church of Platteville with a reception to follow. A private interment will be held at Mizpah Cemetery.
