Roth, Ruth Ann (Knuppel), Jan. 22, 1925-Nov. 21, 2014 The Tribune Greeley, Colorado 25 Nov 2014 Age: 89 Residence: Greeley Ruth Ann Roth (Knuppel), 89, of Greeley, passed away Nov. 21, 2014, at Garden Square at Westlake Assisted Living. She will now be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with her loving husband in Heaven. She was born Jan. 22, 1925, to Henry and Ella (Thiesse) Knuppel at the family farm, east of Grover, Colo. Ruth attended Morning Star Country School for eight years and graduated from Grover High School. Ruth went to business school in Denver following graduation. Ruth married Sam Roth on Feb. 26, 1947, in Kimball, Neb. They lived in the Grover area where they farmed and worked with cattle until 1967. They then moved to Pine Bluffs, Wyo., where they again farmed and worked with cattle until 1974. They moved to Greeley, where she enjoyed watching her grandsons play numerous sports. She also enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and the Denver Nuggets. Ruth loved quilting, gardening, playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy and husband, Randy Peters, Loveland; son, Don Roth and wife Judy, Greeley; sister-in-law, Morine Knuppel, Grover; grandchildren, Garrett Peters and wife Christie, Branson Peters and wife Collette, and Travis Roth, all of Greeley, Traci and husband Brian Darr, Lander, Wyo.; great-grandchildren, Cayden Peters and Kyler Peters, Greeley, and Zoey, Aspen and Cedar Darr, Lander, Wyo. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and an infant son. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. following the visitation. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
