HI: We all need to write to his employer at the University and complainand also to his US liason Dick Kraus. Here is the information from a Google search. Research by Dr. Igor Pleve and His Associates Person doing research: Dr. Igor Pleve, wife, daughter, email:pleve@overta.ru Email to Dr. Pleve may take considerable time for an answer. Dr. Pleve is Minister of Education in Saratov, Russia. Payment: Dick Kraus, email:dickkraus1@yahoo.com Dr. Pleve's financial liason in the United States. Individual Research: Pleve charges about $8.00 per name to look and retrieve the information, even if there is nothing found. Say you asked him for Jacob Strackbein (son of Conrad and Maria Elisabeth), was born about 1834 or 1835. He will look at 1834 and 1835, $8.00 for 1834 and if nothing there he will look at 1835, and charge you $8.00 for that as well, so the total for this birth would be $16.00 roughly. In order to get birth & marriages dates, he needs to know the exact year or at least something to go on. If you tell him about 1837 or 1838 he will just look at those two dates. You may tell him 1850-1860 and he would do those years, but again $8.00 a year, whether or not someone is listed. Family Charts: Two types of charts are available, an ancestry chart and a full surname chart. For an ancestry chart, you tell Dr. Pleve the starting person, and he will find all the ancestors, and family of the ancestors, back to the first settler. Cost is from $400 to $500, depending on the size of the family. Delivery time is one year or more, depending on work load, and difficulty finding records. For a surname chart, you specify the surname and the village, and the chart will give you the ancestors and their families back to the first settler that came to Russia. The price is $500 to $1000, depending on how many people are in the family. Note that the type of research specified here will also be done at the other two archives.
