Wiedeman, Evelyn Evie Claudette, Jan. 3, 1934-Sept. 2, 2014 The Tribune Greeley, Colorado Age: 80 Residence: Greeley Evelyn Evie Claudette Wiedeman, 80, of Greeley, passed away at Bonell Good Samaritan on Sept. 2, 2014. She was born Jan. 3, 1934, to Claude and Birdie (Robinson) Blackburn in Greeley. She married Raymond Wiedeman on May 5, 1952, in Raton, N.M. He passed in June of 2009. Evelyn lived in Eaton from 1953-1960. She moved to Greeley in 1960. She graduated from Greeley High School. Evelyn was an operator for Mountain Bell. She advanced to be a supervisor and then worked in human resources. She retired in 1988. Evelyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very active in the community. She was very involved with her church, Release Society president, and was the president of the Womens Group at the Greeley Country Club. She was an avid golfer, liked to garden, take walks and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Gary (Marj) Wiedeman, Rory (Sherelyn) Wiedeman and David (Rose Holtkamp) Wiedeman; grandchildren, Justine Andersen, Heidi Horenstein, Gretchen Wiedeman, Hannah Wiedeman, Jake Wiedeman and Tayler Wiedeman; and great-grandchildren, Camden Horenstein, Sydney, Hanna and Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Wiedeman; infant daughter, Sally Jane; and brothers, Walter Blackburn of Grand Junction and Ridge Denning of California. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
