Miller, Lois, June 17, 1929 - Sept. 13, 2014 The Tribune Greeley, Colorado 16 Sep 2014 Age: 85 Residence: Greeley Lois Marie Haas Miller, 85, of Greeley passed from this life Sept. 13, 2014, at Kenton Manor in Greeley, Colorado. She was born June 17, 1929, to Kenneth William and Elva Francis (Bowie) Shaw in Elm Creek, Neb. Lois grew up in Elm Creek and moved to Greeley in 1944 where she graduated from Greeley High School in 1947. On July 25, 1948, she married William R. Haas in Windsor. He passed on Sept. 25, 1992. She married John Lyle Miller on Feb. 28, 1999. He passed on Aug. 26, 2004. Lois was a great homemaker and cook, and enjoyed bowling, dutch hops, watching the Broncos, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her years at the Broadview apartments with the many activities and friends. Lois was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Windsor. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Dillard (Bob) of Greeley, Connie Winder (Dale) of Windsor, and Billie Gomer (Gary) of Windsor; eight grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Shaw (Barb) of Eaton; and a loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Joni Kay Haas; and two brothers, Charles and Dean Shaw. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at First Assembly of God, 3000 16th St. in Greeley.
