Schneider, Walter George , Jan. 11, 1935- Nov. 28, 2014 Billings Gazette Billings, Montana 1 Dec 2014 Walter George Schneider, age 79, died at St. Vincents Hospital in Billings on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, surrounded by family. Born Jan. 11, 1935, in Billings, to George and Hannah (Bender) Schneider. Walter served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1954 based in Corpus Christi, Texas. On June 21, 1955, he married Dorothy Kroll. From that marriage they were blessed with four kids. On Feb. 17, 1986, he married Mary Thielen. With that marriage he was blessed with 2 step-sons. He lived the majority of his life in Montana, California, and various other western states. He worked in the plumbing and pipefitting industry for 55 years until retiring in 1999. After retirement he was a security officer at Billings Logan International Airport and a school bus driver for School District 2. Walter was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy; his parents Hannah and Bob Gazelle; and step-sister Luann Minnick. Survivors include his wife Mary; sons Dean (Cindy) and Dale (Bobbi); daughters Cathy and Cindy (Wall); Step-sons Tim (Christie) and Mark. Grandchildren Renee, Wally (Kendra), Kerri (Ryan), Jeremy (Jackie), Jake, Jessica, Jaryd, Staci, and Bri. Great-grandkids Sessily, Austin, John, Koby, and Jaxon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 717 18th St. W, Billings,MT 59102. Burial at Bridger Cemetery .
