    3. Reifschneider, Rodney C., September 12, 1958- November 15, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebreaska 7 Dec 2014 Rodney C. Reifschneider, 56 of Centennial, Colorado passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Porter Hospice Residence surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His memorial service will be held on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Metro West Chapel, 901 South Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado 80226 with Pastor Gary Gould officiating. There will be no viewing, at Rodney’s request, cremation has taken place. Newcomer Funeral Home, Denver, Colorado is in charge of arrangements. A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, West highway 26, Scottsbluff on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. The celebration for Rod following his graveside services will be at the Remington Club, 711 Main, Minatare NE (former Legion Hall). The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Rodney’s honor be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date or the donor’s choice. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Rodney was born on September 12, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles R. Reifschneider and Odelia Ruth (Dee) (Henkel) Reifschneider. He was baptized October of 1958 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Omaha. His parents relocated to Gering, where Rodney attended West Ward and Northfield Elementary Schools. He graduated from Gering High School in 1977 and later continued his education at the University of Nebraska, majoring in business management. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Rodney was a member of Salem Congregational Church for many years and was confirmed April of 1973. Rodney enjoyed horses and participated with his family in many activities. He was an avid rider, a member of the Bit and Spur 4-H club for many years, serving as a reporter. One highlight of his riding career was when he and his father rode in the Centennial Nebraskaland Pony Express Re-Run in 1967. Rodney was a motorcycle enthusiast and participated in many fund raisers over the years. His other love was Mustangs; his favorite was his 1971 blue Mustang. He had a lifelong career in construction from carrying bricks to operating million dollar projects. His career took him to many states, most recently in Maine, before ill health forced him to retire. Rodney is survived by his son, Caden Jeffrey Tyler, Centennial, CO; sister and brother-in-law Pamela D. Martin and husband TJ Martin, Kearney, NE and sister Patricia M Steinle and fiancé Brad Hall, Minatare, NE; step mother Doris Reifschneider, Scottsbluff; niece Paige L. Steinle, Minatare; nephews Garrett R. Martin and Ross C. Martin, Kearney, NE, Zane Tyler, LaSalle, CO and Tristan Tyler, Denver, CO and God father and uncle James Reifschneider, Carmichael, CA. Rodney is survived by numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends, especially his many cherished “Biker Buddies.” Rodney was preceded in death by his mother Odelia (Dee) in January of 1973, his father Charlie in May of 1993, maternal grandparents Dave and Pauline (Sinner) Henkel, paternal grandparents Carl and Marie (Kramer) Reifschneider, uncle Jack E. Reifschneider and aunts Claire Reifschneider and Phyliss Reifschneider.
