    3. Hergert,  Wilma M., Oct. 9, 1919-Dec.17, 2014   The Tribune Greeley, Colorado   Age: 95   Residence: Greeley   Wilma Hergert, 95, of Greeley, passed on to her heavenly home on Dec. 17, 2014. Born in Windsor, Colo. to Bill Hettinger and Katherine Rosenoff Hettinger. Wilma grew up on an irrigated and dairy farm north of Windsor. She is a 1937 graduate of Windsor High School where she was a cheerleader. She married Carl Hergert on Dec. 27, 1940. After graduation she worked three years as a dental assistant for Dr. Walker in Windsor. She also worked at the Greeley truck washout as a clerk/bookkeeper for 10 years with her brother Eugene Hettinger and sister, Norie Teller. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and a great cook, along with assisting Carl on the farm for 48 years. She loved sports, the Broncos and the Rockies. She enjoyed supporting her two sons in their sports while growing up. She was a longtime member of Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor. And in recent years she attended Westside Baptist Church in Greeley. She is survived by her two sons, Lauren (Lou Ann) Hergert of Greeley, and Larry (Cathy) Hergert of Greeley. Grandchildren include, Delbert Maxfield of Windsor, Barbara (Jeff) Mathis of Castle Rock, Matthew Hergert of Loveland, Lonny (Tiana) Hergert of Big Spring Texas, Craig (Julie) Hergert of Bozeman Mont.; great-grandchildren include Alexis Maxfield of South Korea, Brittney and Bryce Hergert of Big Spring, Texas, Carl and Flynn Hergert of Bozeman, Mont. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers; her husband, Carl Hergert; and infant daughter, Karen Jean. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Adamson Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church of Greeley or a charity of your choice.
