Misner, Mary (Roberts), Oct. 24, 1938- Dec. 9, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebraska 11 Dec 2014 Mary (Roberts) Misner, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 in her home at Mitchell. Her family asks that you join them for a celebration of her life beginning at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the Federated Church in Mitchell with a time of renewing old friendships and remembering the person that she was along with some light refreshments. This will be followed by a brief, informal service in the sanctuary of the church with Pastor Bob Rose officiating. Mary requested casual attire for her services. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place per her wishes. Internment will follow, privately by her family, at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Mary was born in Goshen County, Wyo. on Oct. 24, 1938 to Joy and Elfreda (Thomsen) Roberts. Her early education was in Lyman and Huntley, Wyo. She completed her education and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1956. In 1956, she married Jerry Misner. From this union came two sons, Steve and Brian, and a daughter, Valarie, who died in infancy. Mary is survived by her sons, Steve and his wife Rhonda of Wichita Falls, Texas, Brian and his wife Rose Mary of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Jasmine Misner, Michael Misner, D.G. Anderson, Jeremy Howell, Tim Howell, Chace Misner, Johnathan Llaque, Nick Childs, and Joe Weiss; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Kautz and her husband Larry of Mitchell; several beloved nieces and nephews; and special friends Kris Keener, Brett Gies, and Russ Noel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; infant daughter Valarie; her parents; her sister Elsie Stiver, and brother Jim Roberts.
