Fritzler, Robert ‘Fritz’, Aug. 16, 1934-Aug. 21, 2014 Torrington Telegram Torrington, Wyoming 25 Aug 2014 TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Robert "Fritz" Fritzler, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vicki Kintzel officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Fritz died Aug. 21, 2014 at the Goshen Care Center. A memorial has been established to the Goshen County Fairgrounds for tables and benches. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, and the casket will be open briefly following the service. Fritz was born Aug. 16, 1934 in Torrington, the son of George and Lydia (Schnell) Fritzler. He grew up and received his education there, graduating Torrington High School in 1954. Starting when he was in ninth grade, he worked as a custodian at the Torrington schools and worked there for 16 years. He married Jane Caldwell on June 30, 1956 in Torrington. He then worked for Torrington Plumbing from 1972 until 1982 when he started his own sanitation business. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 until 1960. He retired in January of 2003. Fritz enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, watching high school and college football games, going to Branson, Mo. every year and listening to country music. Fritz is survived by his wife, Jane, of Torrington; three sons, Dennis Fritzler and his wife Tracy of Denver, N.C., Leonard Fritzler and his wife Loreen of Lingle, and Larry Fritzler and his wife Debbie of Gering, Neb.; grandchildren Josh Fritzler, Jessica Sylvester, Callie Fritzler, Justin Fritzler, Dusty Fritzler, Jason Fritzler, Zachary Fritzler, Jaala Hemingway, Daniel Hemingway and Peter Hemingway; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sharon Hemingway; a brother, George Fritzler; and three sisters, Lillian Backer, Arlene Barker and Althea Greene.
