Esther Kauffman, 94 of LaSalle, passed away March 5, 2014, at Life Care Center in Greeley. She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Kimball, Neb., to Adam and Marie Martin. Esther married Henry Kauffman in 1939. She was the cook at Buell school and then waited tables at Carlson’s Hut and many other restaurants. She loved her flowers and took very good care of her yard. She loved to have picnics and to cook for her family. Esther is survived by Bob (Shirley)Kauffman, of Chule Vista, Calif., LeeRoy (Shirley)Kauffman, Strasburg, Colo., Ileen Thompson, Whitney, Texas, and Wayne (Carla) Kauffman, Watertown, S.D.; brother, Dean Martin, Greeley; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by Henry; daughter, Patty; her parents; her stepmother; three sisters; and four brothers. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service, with interment at Linn Grove Cemetery, and reception in the Allnutt Reception Center.
