Jones, Alma Ellen Hauf, March 19, 1914- April 15, 2014 Billings Gazette Billings, Montana 17 Apr 2014 HUNTLEY Alma Jones, 100, of Huntley, died Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2014, in Billings. She was born in the Billings Heights, at home, on March 19, 1914, to John and Anna Hauf and moved with her family to Mountain View, Mo.. The family returned to the Huntley area in 1924. Alma attended school on the Huntley Project and graduated from high school there in 1932. She married Robert Bob Jones on Jan. 21, 1933. Along with their two sons, Donald and Bruce, the family moved to the Powell and Cody, Wyo., area. Later, they moved back to Huntley and lived on the homestead east of Huntley. Bob died there in 1976. Alma worked retail sales for many years. Despite the hardships and ups and downs, Alma lived 100 years. She is survived by two sons, Donald Jones of Nampa, Idaho; Bruce (Lee) Jones of Dillon; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two babies, son Charles and daughter Diana; two sisters, Mary Hauf and Bertha Wells; and three brothers, Harold, Ronald and Arden Hauf. Alma loved her Huntley United Methodist Church and the Church family. Her immediate family was very dear to her, and all of the nieces and nephews were considered family, as were all the in-laws. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 at the Smith Downtown Chapel in Billings with graveside service at the Huntley Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Huntley United Methodist Church or the Worden Fire Department.
