Lind, Adam Wesley, July 22, 1978- Oct. 15, 2014 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, Nebraska 20 Oct 2014 Adam Wesley Lind, 36, formerly of Scottsbluff, passed away after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at his home in Aurora, Neb. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Mitchell Berean Church with Pastor Giles Armstrong officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church, from 1-4 p.m. Monday afternoon, at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell followed by cremation. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Madelin Lind C/O John Lind, 3001 Mirror Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jones-mortuary.com. Adam was born to John and Willene Lind on July 22, 1978 in Scottsbluff. He had one sibling, Travis. Adam’s best friend throughout life was Joe Sanchell of Lubbock, Texas. Adam graduated in Texas from Keller High School in 1996. He served in the Air Force working for the Intelligence Department, and received several commendations. He decided to make a career in the food industry, managing several restaurants, after being honorably discharged from the service. Adam loved Husker football and enjoyed fishing. His greatest achievements were his daughters, Madelin and Adriana. It didn’t matter what obstacles stood in Adam’s way, he would always find a way around them and kept a great sense of humor while trying to achieve his goals. Survivors include his daughters, Madelin Lind and Adriana Morgan; father, John C. (Jessica) Lind; mother, Willene Lind (Robert Van Bogelen); brother, Travis Lind; step-brother, Dillon Leto; step-sister, Ashely Blackburn; niece, Avery Lind; grandmothers, Rowena Lind and Wilma Stricker; beloved cat, Thunder; and numerous aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends. Preceding Adam in death were his grandfathers, Ralph John Lind, Sr. and Harry S. Stricker.
