I'm looking for any information about my grandparents Martin and Louise (Jacobi) Daniel who came to America from Bloomfeld (Bloomenfeldt?) Russia. The only information I have is their naturalization papers showing the town they came from. Grandpa was forced to serve in the Russian army for 4 years before they left Russia. There are three Blumenfeld villages, all daughter colonies, one each in the following three Samara Province Districts in the Volga: Pallasowka, Marienttal and Fedorowka. There are also the following villages: Blumenfeld (Kherson area in the Black Sea Region), three Blumenfeld villages in the Jekaterinoslav region, a Blumenfeld village in the Don District, five Blumenfeld villages in the North Kaukasus region, and one Blumenfeld village of the South Kaukasus region. Unless a ship immigration record shows where these people came from, your going to have a very difficult time figuring out where they came from.
