Baker, Lily, Feb. 1, 1919- Nov. 12, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 14 Nov 2010 TORRINGTON, Wyo. -- Lily Baker, 91, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m., at the Colyer Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. A memorial has been established to the Goshen Care Center. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com . Lily was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Scottsbluff, the daughter of Martin, Sr. and Katherine (Reifschnieder) Schaneman. Lily moved to Torrington, with her family, when she was one month old. She attended school at Lingle and Torrington. Lily married Rolland Baker on July 28, 1939, in Torrington. The couple had three children and were later divorced. She worked as a cook at Eastern Wyoming College and at the Goshen Care Center. Lily retired in 1980. Lily enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Survivors include her son Larry and wife Joyce Baker of Oskaloosa, Iowa; a daughter Debra and husband Gerry Bolger of Evanston, Wyo.; a son-in-law Allen Friesen of Newcastle, Wyo.; five sisters Clara and husband Marvin Miller, Elsie and husband Albert Hopp, Marie Riggs, Martha and husband Rollie Schwint, and Lorraine Eisenbarth, all of Torrington, Wyo.; three brothers Alex and wife Elsie Schaneman of Torrington, Robert and wife Nancy Schaneman of Cheyenne, WY, and Richard and wife Judy Schaneman of Torrington; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Lily in death were her parents; a daughter Patricia Friesen; a brother Martin (Skeet) Schaneman Jr.; and a sister Betty Morgheim.
