Scherzberg, Alfred "Paul", July 11, 1941- Oct. 28, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 18 Nov 2010 Alfred "Paul" Scherzberg, 69, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 1, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, West Allis, Wis. Interment was Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kan. Paul was born July 11, 1941, in Scottsbluff, to Alfred and Ella (Glinsman) Scherzberg. He started school in Torrington, Wyo. until the family moved to Gering in 1951, where he attended school until his Junior year in high school. Paul graduated from St. John's Lutheran High School, Winfield, Kan. He attended Concordia Lutheran College in Seward, Neb. Paul was an English teacher and coach at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Manitowoc, Wis. and later in Milwaukee. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Donna (Buckley); daughters, Stephanie Scherzberg, Sherie (Timothy) McNeill; sons, Soren (Mary) and Sabin (Diane); nine grandchildren all of the Milwaukee area; sister, Emily Hoff of Torrington, Wyo. and relatives, friends and students whose lives he touched. Preceding him in death were his parents.
