Foos, Gary Gene, Feb. 13, 1944- Nov. 11, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 14 Nov 2010 Gary Gene Foos, 66, of Monroe, Wash., and Scottsbluff, died Nov. 11, 2010, at his home in Monroe, Wash., after a long struggle with lung disease. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Jonathan Seng and Pastor Ken Maldonado officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com He was born Feb. 13, 1944, at Scottsbluff, to Harold James Foos and Ann (Schaneman) Foos. He received his early education at Highland Grade School, graduating from Minatare High School. He served in the United States Air Force. Gary married Nancy Ann Shuey, on April 22, 1962, at Scottsbluff, and they made their homes in Hawaii, Nebraska and Washington. He was active in farming; was involved in real estate and land development in both Washington state and Nebraska since the mid 1960s; was a real estate broker over forty years in Washington; and enjoyed raising quarter horses. He was a member of American Legion, the Eagles, the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, and American Quarter Horse Association. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and had a passion for animals. Survivors include his loving wife Nancy of 48 years; son Hal (Jim) Foos (Pam) of Edmonds, Wash.; daughter Renee Wallesen (Tye) of Angora; son Rory Foos (Kristin) of San Jose, Calif.; mother Ann Foos of Scottsbluff; sisters Cyndi Ries of Kearney and Marlyce Rose of Salina, Kan.; brother-in-law Lloyd Shuey (Kyla) of Scottsbluff; sister-in-law Debra Shuey (Troy) of Scottsbluff; four loving grandchildren Amanda Foos, Ashlee and Jacob Wallesen and Rylie Foos. He is survived by numerous family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Foos; grandparents Jacob and Molly Foos; grandparents Conrad and Katherine Schaneman; nephews David and Donnie Cole; and his beloved dog Chance in May of 2010.
