Kisler, Ernest "Ozzie", May 12, 1916-, Dec. 11, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 16 Dec 2010 BAYARD - Ernest "Ozzie" Kisler, 94, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Regional West Medical Center. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Faith United Church of Christ with Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Morrill County Community Hospital. Ozzie was born May 12, 1916, in Hastings to John and Katherine (Borgen) Kisler. As a youth the family moved to Bayard. On May 10, 1941 he married Ida Rau in Harrisburg. Being a long time resident of western Nebraska he farmed and fed cattle in the Bayard and McGrew areas. During which time he was awarded the "High Ten Sugar Beet Producer" for several years. Survivors include his son, Morris Kisler of Bayard; daughter, Mardell (Steve) Grasmick of Yuma, Colo.; sisters, Lucille Rahmig of Jacksonville, Fla., Delores Burkman of Gering, Alma Koldar of Seattle, Wash. and Betty Weiden-keller of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, John (Donna) Kisler of Gering, Richard (Maggie) Kisler of Rupert, Idaho and William (Joann) Kisler of Minatare; grandson Kenton (Jamie) Kisler as well as great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Brody. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Ida, brother, Victor and sisters Florina and Elizabeth.
