Roth, Ruth Marie (Martin), Nov. 17, 1956- Dec. 12, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 16 Dec 2010 Ruth Marie (Martin) Roth, 54, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Regional West Medical Center. Her memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Inurnment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Memorials in her name may be made in care of the family. Jolliffe Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Her obituary may be viewed online at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com where online condolences may be made. Ruth was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Scottsbluff to Don-ald and Shirley (Haverick) Martin. She grew up and received her education in Gering and graduated Gering High School with the class of 1975. On December 10, 1977, she married Gregory Lee Roth in Scottsbluff. The couple later divorced. Ruth owned and operated a daycare in her home, before moving the Grand Island-Hastings, Neb. area where she worked as a caregiver. She returned to the Nebraska-Colorado area in the mid to late 1990's and most recently was employed as a CNA and Activities Director at Northfield Villa in Gering. Ruth's greatest joy in life was taking care of the elderly. She was a very caring individual and took great pride in taking care of older people. She attended the Salem Congregational Church. Survivors include her son Eric V. (Rebecca) Roth of Kentwood, La.; father, Donald Martin of Gering; brothers, David (Jerlyn) Martin of North Platte, Steve (Desira) Martin of Scottsbluff and Robert (Sue) Martin of Mitchell and sister, Linda (Stace) Swartzkopf of Scottsbluff. Survivors also include a granddaughter, Alexis Loray Roth and grandson, Collin Vincent Roth, both of Kentwood, La. Her mother Shirley Martin and her paternal and maternal grandparents preceded her in death.
