    3. Steege, Millie , Dec. 4, 1920- Dec. 4, 2010 Wyoming Tribune Eagle Cheyenne, WY 8 Dec 2010 Millie Steege, 90, was called to heaven to be with her savior on Dec. 4. It was her 90th birthday. Millie was born Dec. 4, 1920, and raised on a farm at Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and all of her siblings with the exception of her brother, Victor Plambeck of Cheyenne. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Steege. Walter and Millie farmed 13 miles north of Burns and raised four children, LeRoy (Elaine) Steege of Kennewick, Wash., Marlene (Bus) Sjostrand of Denver, Gary (Sharon) Steege of Lakewood, Colo., and LaVerne (Nancy) Steege of Pine Bluffs. Millie was a loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and beloved great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Over the years Millie and Walt ran an egg route in Cheyenne. She was a cook at the school in Burns, and the retired postmaster of the U.S. Post Office in Hillsdale. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns, until it was necessary to move to assisted living in Denver. Millie was a kind and loving person who always thought of others. Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 203 South Washington St., Burns, WY 80253, followed by a luncheon at the church with inurnment at Memorial Gardens in Cheyenne to follow. Pastor Kenneth Mars will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns.
