Miller, Albert H., April 16, 1924- Dec. 14, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 22 Dec 2010 TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Albert H. Miller, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Community Hospital and cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Ora Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Torrington Ambulance Service or the Torrington Senior Friendship Center. Al was born April 16, 1924 in Morrill the son of Henry and Olinda (Lind) Miller. At the age of five his family moved to Torrington, Wyo. where Al grew up and received his education graduating Torrington High School in 1941. Al attended a semester at the University of Wyoming and a semester at Colorado State University before returning to Torrington to help on the family farm. He married Jeannine DesEnfants on June 11, 1948 in Torrington. Al farmed and fed cattle in the Torrington area for many years. Al was a member of the Elks, the United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees for three years, and the New North Platte Irrigation and Ditch Company for eighteen years, fifteen of which he served as their president. He loved to work, ballroom dance, and travel with his family. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Miller of Torrington, Wyo.; sons, Steve Miller and his wife Liz of Denver and Bruce Miller and his wife Andrea of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter, Joyce Miller of Ft. Collins, Colo.; sisters, Erma Morris of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Dorothy Metz of Billings, Mont.; brother, Allen Miller of Torrington; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters, Wilma Collinson, and Irene Metz.
