Fox, Marie Elizabeth, Jan. 11, 1920- Dec. 17, 2010 Billings Gazette Billings, MT 20 Dec 2010 LAUREL Marie Elizabeth Fox, 90, of Laurel, passed away at Laurel Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010. Marie was born in Columbus, Mont., on Jan. 11, 1920, the daughter of Lewin and Julia (Runk) Hergett of Park City, Mont. She attended school at Young's Point and shortly thereafter married Arthur Fox. They lived in the Absarokee area until he was called into military service. Marie worked at the General Electric plant in Fort Wayne, Ind., until her husband returned from overseas. They then moved to the Laurel area where her three children were born and raised. Once her children were established, Marie worked at Billings Deaconess Hospital for many years. Preceding her in death are her parents; her sisters Freida and Rose; brother Karl and wife Martha; and sister-in-law Anna. Marie is survived by her sons, Wayne (Mary Kay), Gordon; daughter Sheila; grandsons Curtis (Brandi) Fox and Brett (Jacque) Currie and their son Kellen. Marie is also survived by her brothers Richard Hergett and Victor (Evelyn) Hergett; sister-in-law Marge Holmes; step sister-in-law Ruth Mace; step brother-in-law George Fox; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Her family was everything to her and she especially enjoyed many hours watching her two grandsons grow into responsible adults. The family wishes to thank the nurses and all the staff at Evergreen for their care, love and support of our mother. As per Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial for family and relatives will be at Park City cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
