Lorenz, William Harlan, January 21, 1949- October 21, 2010 Scottsbluff Star Herald Scottsbluff, NE 26 Oct 2010 William Harlan Lorenz age 61 of Lyman died Thursday October 21, 2010 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Lyman Christian Church in Lyman, NE with Pastor Ted Grant officiating. Inurnment will take place at the family ranch at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Bill was born in Greeley, CO on January 21, 1949 to Ralph and Althea (Cox) Lorenz. He grew up in Gilcrest, CO and moved to Wyoming in the early 1980’s, where he spent his life working on the family farm. Bill was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. His daughter and her family were his pride and joy. His weekly Tuesday afternoon visits were the highlight of their week. He was a good neighbor, friend and advisor. Bill was the guy you went to when you needed something handled. He was an active member of the Lyman Christian Church where he served as treasurer Survivors include his daughter Keri (Jeremy) Brunner of Gering; granddaughter Kendall; grandsons Trenton and Cody; nieces Angela King of California and Shawntey Lorenz-Sandoval of Cheyenne; and ex-wife Linda Lorenz of Cheyenne. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald O. Lorenz.
