Also, I think that the ying and yang symbols go back to the sign of the cross. I think that the whole world is related and we all go back to Adam and Eve! Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Randy died October 27, 2010 at Community Hospital. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 7pm at the funeral home and the casket will be open briefly following the service. Randy was born August 26, 1950 in Torrington, Wyoming the son of Ted and Loretta (Weickum) Herdt. He grew up and received his education in Torrington graduating there. He served in the Wyoming Army National Guard and worked at Camp Guernsey. He married Karen Samson on June 22, 1974 in Torrington. In 1979 he went to work for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and worked there until he retired in 2009. Randy enjoyed gambling, computers, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Randy is survived by his wife Karen of Torrington, Wyoming; two sons, Torrie Herdt of Torrington and MM2 (SS) Jarrod Herdt and his wife Jamie of Great Lakes, Illinois; sisters Rhonda Harvey and her husband Doug of Torrington and Rene Owens of Gering, Nebraska; brothers Barry Herdt and his wife Tawnya of Powell, Wyoming and Kevin Herdt and his wife Kimberly of Torrington; grandchildren, Trae Herdt of Alliance, Nebraska, Jacob Martin of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Zayne Herdt of Torrington, and Madison Herdt of Great Lakes.
