Bill, The 1798 census for each village contains debt information at the end. Generally, the names on the debt list match those of the heads of household in the regular census entries. This can serve as an incomplete census of sorts for the early 1780s, perhaps earlier. ? The page before this list gives the date and amount of payment, with the name of the Vorsteher (mayor) from 1787 through 1797; this is included within each village's manuscript. So it is possible find who the mayor of your village was from 1787 to 1797. ?
