He was baptized in the local Lutheran Church. Several years after his birth the Lind family migrated to the south of Russia, to the Caucusus region near Baku on the Black Sea. Here he was instructed in the word of God and confirmed. On Dec. 23, 1907 he was united in marriage with Katherine Rice. The young couple came to the United States in 1912. After one year and three months residence at Pettisville they moved to Wauseon where they have resided the last 47 years. Mr. Lind was a worker in the foundry here in Wauseon for many years. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sister. We of Trinity Congregation have known him as a faithful Christian and member of the church. He attended the services at God's house regularly and and supported the works of the church with his gifts. We remember him especially for his willingness to work for the congregation without thought of recompense.
