Would anyone who has access to the book "The Emigration from Germany to Russia in the Years 1763-1862" mind doing a look up for me. I am looking for ship records from Germany to Russia for Johannes Kreutzer born around 1748 listed. He is listed in the first settlers list as #25 in Herzog. He is not listed in the Kuhlburg ship records. I think I know where he is from but a Rienhard Hofer in Germany is offering to find records in Johannes Kreutzer's home town Roding Bayern. Rienhard Hofer charges about 48.00 an hour and wants a couple of hundred down to start the research. I am not familier with research cost in Germany and he was not refered to me so I am a little hesitate to proceed. If anyone has some one they can recommend I would be interested.
