A supplement to the Volga-Germans of Michigan's Thumb book published in 2009, the booklet will include a pro-forma First Settlers List for Kind, other 18th and 19th century information on the village, passenger arrivals in the US from Kind and some for Susannental, information on the Naeb parish church (which included Naeb, Susannental, Kind, Hummel, Bohn, Orlovskaya and Balakovo) and an account of the death of its last pastor, information from the records of St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Port Huron, Michigan, photos of sugar beet factories and churches in Russia, and three accounts of Kind from travellers in the last 16 years. Details of individuals deported to Siberia will also be included, as well as a bibliography of online books of general interest.
