Laird, Sally Jane (Schreiner), July 19,1937- Dec. 29, 2010 Billings Gazette Billings, MT 2 Jan 2011 Our loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Sally Jane Laird, 73, of Billings, became an angel on Dec. 29, 2010, at St Vincent Hospital. She was born July 19,1937, to Adam and Katherine (Knaub) Schreiner in Laurel. Sally grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Park City High School in 1955. She met Roy Laird who was on leave from the navy at a dance in Roscoe. He proposed to her in a letter and six months later they were married. Sally and Roy were married on Oct. 25, 1958, at the Congregational Church in Laurel. Together they raised three boys David, Danny, and Robb. The family lived in Missoula Mont., from 1974 until 1981 before making their home in Billings. Sally was a people person and worked as a CNA at Western Manor for many years. She loved to read romance novels and she collected over 800 bells. She liked dolphins and was a Miami Dolphines fan. Family was very important to Sally and she loved her grandchildren and cherished each one. Sally was proceded in death by her parents and baby brother. She is survived by her husband, Roy, of 52 years and three sons David (Tonie) Laird, Dan Laird, and Robb (Lisa) Laird. Brother James (Arlene) Schreiner; sister Darlene (Larry) Walks and grandchildren Kassie, Kristy, Katie, Kody, Kaycee, Molly, Meghan, Nickolaus, and Merrie. Along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sally's life will be Monday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at the New Life Foursquare Church in Laurel.
