    3. Hello colleagues; Doing research and preparing a family genealogy for my sons' on Adam Kindsvater and his family from Kana, Russia; who arrived into the United states in 1913 at the port of Galveston, and also stated he had a brother Daniel who remained in Russia. The spelling of the surname has been spelled many different ways over the years, and was changed to Kinsfather on the 1930 Census for Hidalgo, TX. Any pictures you might have of the Kana region would be appreciated as well. Not familiar with the villages of Russia or Russian History at all and pretty new at researching, so any help would be appreciated. Adam Kindsvater is my Grandfather, and I am the Son of Daniel Adam Kinsfather. Will gladly share any information I currently have on his descendants here in the US that I know to be factual. Sincerely David Allen Kinsfather Lawton, Oklahoma, USA

    3. Sergei Kindsvater is an excellent researcher and has lots of information on the Kindsvaters. I don't recall what village his ancestors are from but he is on this list server. A Conrad Kindsvater and his wife Charlotta settled in St. Clair, Michigan in 1904; they have descendants still living in the St. Clair area.   Bill Pickelhaupt --- On Sat, 1/8/11, Dave <[email protected]> wrote: From: Dave <[email protected]> Subject: [GV] Kindsvater's of Kana To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, January 8, 2011, 10:10 AM Hello colleagues;    Doing research and preparing a family genealogy for my sons' on Adam Kindsvater and his family from Kana, Russia; who arrived into the United states in 1913 at the port of Galveston, and also stated he had a brother Daniel who remained in Russia.
