    3. David, You may want to check this link: http://www.kindsvater.net/phpgedview/individual.php?pid=I633&ged=kindsvaters.ged Your grandfather is from Kanowo, now part of Prokhladnoye by Pyatigorsk in Caucasus. There have been quite a lot of Kindsvaters there. I met some in Germany. I guess they might have been from Huck originally, but have no paper trail. Make a DNA test to be sure Huck or Dietel. I don't recall what village his ancestors are from but he is on this list server. A Conrad Kindsvater and his wife Charlotta settled in St. Clair, Michigan in 1904; they have descendants still living in the St. Clair area. > > Bill Pickelhaupt > > --- On Sat, 1/8/11, Dave <[email protected]> wrote: > > > From: Dave <[email protected]> > Subject: [GV] Kindsvater's of Kana > To: [email protected] > Date: Saturday, January 8, 2011, 10:10 AM > > > Hello colleagues; > > Doing research and preparing a family genealogy for my sons' on Adam > Kindsvater and his family from Kana, Russia; who arrived into the United > states in 1913 at the port of Galveston, and also stated he had a brother > Daniel who remained in Russia.
